After seeing Lake Rotoroa for the first time, I wanted to spend some time down there, and we decided to check out Innes Common. We had a lazy morning beside the lake. It was fun exploring the play structures, including small parkour park. Coming from the US, we were fairly impressed with the quality and types of equipment available. Little did we know that we’d be even more impressed by other parks. We also enjoyed the nice view of the lake and some of the waterfowl. I was able to get pretty close to some ducks and Pūkeko, also known as the Australasian swamphen.
